Impulse glove

The Black Diamond Impulse is a high-end, professional-grade freeride glove designed for maximum warmth and durability without sacrificing the dexterity you need to handle buckles, zippers, and poles.

While the "Spark" glove (which you may have seen) is a popular mid-range option, the Impulse is a significant step up in terms of weatherproofing and thermal performance.

Key Technical Specs

• Waterproofing: Features a GORE-TEX® insert with Gore Plus Warm technology. This is "guaranteed to keep you dry" and is more breathable/durable than the BD.dry™ inserts found in cheaper models.

• Insulation (The "Cross Core" Advantage):

  • Back of Hand: 200g PrimaLoft® Gold Cross Core (uses Aerogel for extreme warmth-to-weight).

  • Palm: 80g PrimaLoft® Gold Eco with Grip Control to ensure the insulation doesn't slide around when you're gripping poles.

• Material: Full Goat Leather construction. It's supple out of the box but incredibly tough.

• Temperature Rating: -20°C to -4°C (-5°F to 25°F).

Standout Features

• EVA Padding: It has built-in foam padding on the knuckles and back of the hand. This is great for protection if you're tight-tree skiing or bashing gates.

• Neoprene Cuff: A low-profile "under-cuff" design with a large hook-and-loop closure. It fits cleanly under your jacket sleeve to seal out snow.

• Reinforcement: It has double-layer leather patches in high-wear areas (like the thumb and palm) to prevent the "sawing" effect of carrying skis.
