The Almonte 10 PT weighs only 325 g per unit, including brakes and screws. The use of recycled or bio-based materials in the manufacturing of all plastic components reflects Elan’s commitment to the environment. Thanks to a simplified step-in system in the toe piece, the Almonte 10 PT makes transitions between descent and climb modes easy. Universal diameter slots for attaching ski crampons allow for compatibility with a wide range of crampons. The insulated brake mechanism is effectively protected from icing to ensure greater safety. The climbing aids (0°/6.5°/12°) are easy to engage to ensure comfortable ascents. The Almonte 10 PT features a lateral release function from DIN 4 to 10, as well as an interchangeable U-PIN for precise vertical settings. The widened heel base provides better boot stability in descent mode to optimize skiability. The heel piece’s elastic travel of up to 6 mm preserves ski flex during compressions to ski with complete safety. The generous 25 mm adjustment range on the heel (±12.5 mm) allows for adaptation to different sole lengths and ensures a precise fit, essential for effective power transfer from the skier. Several brake options are available: 90 mm, 105 mm, and 120 mm.
