Description
The term Almonte 12 does not refer to a Head ski model, but to a high-end touring ski binding (Pin Tech), designed by Tyrolia (the binding brand associated with Head).
This binding is launched at the same time as the new range of Head Crux touring skis (such as the Crux 87, 93, 99 and 105 which we discussed).
The Almonte 12 PT (Pin Tech) is the most robust binding in Tyrolia's new touring binding series. It is designed for Freerando skiers who seek maximum lightness on the ascent without compromising performance and safety on the descent.

Why "Almonte 12"?
Almonte: This is a name that pays homage to the very first touring binding launched by Tyrolia in 1928, marking a return to the roots of simple and effective ski touring.
12: This number indicates the maximum release value (DIN) of the binding, which is 12. This targets heavy or very aggressive skiers who need high retention force. (The Almonte 10 PT with a max DIN of 10 also exists).
