Description
The Blizzard Black Pearl 97 is one of the most acclaimed All-Mountain skis for women, renowned for its incredible versatility and power. The Blizzard Black Pearl 97: Versatility without Compromise. The Black Pearl 97 is positioned as an All-Mountain / Freeride ski for advanced to expert skiers looking for flawless performance on all types of snow. The figure 97 mm represents the width underfoot (at the waist), an ideal size for floating in fresh snow while being very stable on the slope.
Features
| Feature | Specification (Example for 165 cm) | Description and Advantage |
| Waist Width | 97 mm | Offers an excellent balance between lift in light powder and speed in edge-to-edge transitions on the slope. |
| Turning Radius | Approximately 15 m | A moderate radius that favors long and medium radius turns at high speed, but also allows for varying radii with commitment. |
| Profile | Rocker - Camber - Rocker | The traditional camber underfoot ensures grip and precision on hard snow. The Rockers at the tip and tail facilitate turn initiation and float in deep or choppy snow. |
| Construction | TrueBlend Flipcore W.S.D. | This is Blizzard's flagship technology. It uses a blend of wood stringers (Beech/Poplar) of different densities, positioned to create a custom flex: stiffer underfoot (for power) and softer at the ends (for maneuverability). |
| Reinforcements | Titantal Laminate (Partial) | A partial or targeted layer of metal (Titanal) around the binding area provides exceptional stability, excellent vibration dampening, and power to "charge" through chopped snow (the crud). |
Feel on Snow
The Black Pearl 97 is known for its ability to ski smoothly and damply (damp) in difficult conditions.
-
On Piste: It is capable of carving with precision and power, surprising for its width.
Off-Piste/Variable: It is stable and confident at high speed, going through moguls and heavy snow without flinching. Requirements: It is more demanding than lighter models, rewarding skiers who commit and ski with a forward stance and pressure on the tips.
It is considered an excellent "single ski" (Quiver-Killer) for skiers who only want to own one pair capable of tackling everything.
