Description
The Worldcup Rebels e-SL is a high-performance Slalom ski designed for short, fast, and precise turns on steep and icy slopes.
Philosophy and Target Audience
Target: Expert skiers, former racers, or carving enthusiasts who demand the best possible precision and responsiveness.
Performance: This is not a leisure ski. It requires solid technique and constant physical engagement. It is made to attack the slope like a Slalom pole.
Key Technologies
-
e-SL (EMC and Slalom):
SL (Slalom): The geometry is optimized for ultra-short and aggressive turns.
e- (EMC - Energy Management Circuit): HEAD's piezoelectric electronic technology that absorbs negative vibrations and stabilizes the ski. This makes the ski more fluid and stable at high speed despite its small size and short radius.
Worldcup Sandwich Cap Construction: This is HEAD's racing construction. It guarantees maximum power transmission and extreme torsional rigidity thanks to a multi-layer construction including the wood core and Titanal (heavier and stiffer than the Supershape construction).
Radius and Sidecut Specifications
The turning radius is dictated by non-FIS regulations for "master" or "Race stock" Slalom skis (for non-professional skiers).
| Ski Length | Sidecut (Tip / Waist / Tail) | Turning Radius (Radius) |
| 155 cm | 124 / 68 / 108 mm | approx 11.2 meters |
| 160 cm | 125 68 / 109 mm | approx 12.0 meters |
| 165 cm | 126 / 68 / 110 mm | approx 12.8 meters |
Interpretation: A radius of approx 12-13 meters is the embodiment of a Slalom ski. It allows for instant change of direction and engaging the edge with phenomenal force.
