Description
The Head Oblivion 79 is the narrowest model in the Oblivion series. It is designed for skiers who spend a lot of time in the park (jumps, rails, halfpipe) but want a versatile enough ski to have fun across the entire ski area.
It emphasizes maneuverability and pop for tricks, while maintaining good grip on groomed snow thanks to its thinner waist.

Turning Radius (Radius of Curvature)
The turning radius of the Head Oblivion 79 is a medium/long radius, favoring stability for jump landings and high-speed skiing.
The radius varies depending on the ski size:
| Ski Size | Sidecut (mm) | Turning Radius (m) |
| 172 cm | 112 / 79 / 106 | 19.1 m |
| 181 cm | 112 / 79 / 106 | 21.1 m |
Note: Some sources indicate a shorter radius (around $17.1 \text{ m}$) for smaller sizes, but the radius of $19.1 \text{ m}$ for the $172 \text{ cm}$ is most often cited by Head.
Key Strengths
79 mm Waist: Offers great speed in edge changes and very good performance on groomed snow and in the halfpipe.
Twintip and PNP Rocker: Perfect for switch (backward) skiing and performing tricks (butters).
Long Radius 19.1 m: Ensures the stability and control needed to pick up speed, charge jumps, and link large turns outside the park.
