Important Details

  • Metal Edges: They ensure exceptional control and grip on hard snow, ice, or on traversed slopes. They are essential for safety during backcountry descents.

  • Omnitrack® Base: This scale system (or anti-recoil) is designed to offer reliable thrust on climbs and efficient glide without requiring kick wax.

  • Progressive Sidecut (99-68-84): This shape facilitates turn initiation and improves flotation, making the ski more "playful" and maneuverable than narrower touring skis.

  • Triaxial Construction: It surrounds the wood core to reinforce the ski's torsional rigidity and solidity, while maintaining a reasonable weight.

Usage and Compatibility

This ski is intended for skiers who want to:

  1. Venture off-piste and explore woods or untracked terrain.

  2. Have control during descents and on varied terrain (powder, soft snow, ice).

  3. Cover long distances with good glide efficiency and thrust.

Compatible Bindings

The Madshus Panorama M68 is often mounted with robust bindings designed for backcountry:

  • NNN BC (Backcountry) by Rottefella: Offers good stability and great control, with models like the Rottefella NNN BC Magnum (wide platform).

  • Rottefella Xplore™ System: The new standard for backcountry, offering increased mobility and stability.

  • 75mm / 3-Pin: Traditional 3-pin bindings (sometimes with a cable) are also an option for skiers who prefer this system for telemark performance and maximum control.
