The RIPSTICK TOUR 88 W is the ski the touring world has been waiting for. It is much more than just a touring ski. It represents the ideal fusion of the lightness required for efficient climbs and the performance desired for exhilarating descents. Light, floating, fast, stable, solid, and versatile, all at once. Designed by demanding female freeride athletes and guides who expect perfection everywhere they go, its revolutionary construction has allowed us to minimize weight and maximize performance while maintaining a playful feel for all aspects of the journey. This ski with an 88 mm waist is very light and easy to maneuver, yet also remarkably capable, making it a true modern touring ski.
Finding the perfect balance between downhill performance and light construction for efficient climbing is a challenge, but the Ripstick Tour 88 W brilliantly delivers. The touring segment is the trend in mountaineering; it is essential to combine lightweight equipment that performs in powder and remains stable in the variable conditions found in the backcountry. The Ripstick 88 Tour W has the ideal waist width to feel confident on descents and is narrow enough for long, comfortable climbs, making it the "sweet spot" of touring skis. At around 1170g per ski, we aimed for the optimal weight for women's touring skis, without sacrificing stability and downhill performance. Thanks to the carefully designed CARBON BRIDGE technology, we implemented a carbon rod reinforcement to connect the ski's energy, providing a smooth gliding feel with a playful rebound. The length of the reinforcement is designed with exact measurements to reduce tip chatter and vibration. The reduced shape of the sidewall gives the ski a unique look and allows for functional weight reduction, while the addition of full sidewalls increases edge pressure and contact. With a freeride profile and shape, we ensured this is the perfect combination of weight-to-performance ratio for all female skiers, in all conditions encountered in the backcountry.
