Description
The Elan Wildcat 83 Ti is the big sister of the Wildcat 80 Ti, and represents a slight evolution towards the All-Mountain category while maintaining the focus on carving performance.
The Wildcat 83 Ti is designed for advanced to expert female skiers who are looking for a powerful and precise ski that excels on the piste, but is also more comfortable and performant when the snow becomes soft or a little deeper off the beaten track.
1. Key Differences with the 80 Ti
83 mm Waist: The extra 3 mm (compared to the 80 Ti) improves float and stability in choppy snow (crud) and light powder. This makes the ski more stable and versatile for afternoon conditions or off-piste forays.
Slightly Longer Radius: The radius is generally a little larger than the 80 Ti, which slightly favors medium to long turns and stability at very high speeds.
2. Technology and Construction
The Wildcat 83 Ti retains the performance technologies that make the range famous:
Amphibio Truline Technology: Elan's signature technology that offers a specific right ski and left ski. The inner edge (Camber) guarantees maximum grip and power transmission in turns, while the outer edge (Rocker) ensures easy turn entry and fluid turn exit.
Titanal (Ti): The use of Titanal reinforcements provides incredible stability even at high speed and exceptional vibration damping, which is crucial when skiing in variable snow.
Laminated Wood Core: Offers the perfect blend of liveliness, lightness, and power.
3. Who is it for?
This is the ideal choice for the skier who:
Skis mainly on the piste, but at high speed and aggressively.
Wants the stability and grip of Titanal.

Is looking for a little more versatility and float than a pure carving ski under 80 can offer.
Here are the turn radius values for the Elan Wildcat 83 Ti ski based on its length:
Ski Length Turn Radius (Radius) 146 cm approx 11.7 meters 152 cm approx 12.6 meters 158 cm approx 13.5 meters 164 cm approx 14.4 meters 170 cm approx 15.3 meters Radius Analysis (Example for 158 cm)
With a radius of approximately 13.5 meters, the Wildcat 83 Ti confirms its status as a high-performance All-Mountain ski with a strong inclination towards the piste:
Medium Turns: The radius is slightly longer than the 80 Ti (which was around 12.8 m for the same size), giving it a little more stability for longer and faster turns without compromising agility.
Versatility: This is an ideal value for a ski that needs to be fast and precise on hard snow, but also more stable and less twitchy when leaving the groomed slope into choppy snow.
Carving: It still excels in carved turns thanks to the Amphibio technology and Titanal reinforcement.
