Description

This model is the standard for FIS racing, focused on maximum safety, regulatory compliance, and aerodynamics, while being adapted for use with ski goggles.

1. Safety and Race Homologation

This is the central point of this helmet:

  • MIPS® (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System): Essential integration of the MIPS system to reduce rotational forces and energy transferred to the head during oblique impacts (the most common falls in skiing).

  • FIS RH 2013 Homologation: The helmet meets all the requirements of the International Ski Federation (FIS) and is mandatory for all World Cup events and the majority of high-level national competitions.

  • Hardshell Construction (Hard Shell): Rigid external ABS shell for high protection against penetration and repeated impacts.

  • RD Technology (Race Department): Proven design and construction optimized for speed.

2. Design for Competition

  • Aerodynamics: Streamlined shape designed to minimize air resistance (drag) at high speeds.

  • Goggle Compatibility: The design and the back of the helmet (goggle strap) are specifically engineered to integrate perfectly with modern racing goggles, without creating gaps or pressure points.

  • Chinguard Compatibility: It is equipped with receptacles or interchangeable plates for the quick and secure installation of a slalom chinguard (sold separately).

  • Ventilation: Often a fixed thermal ventilation system for constant comfort without sacrificing aerodynamics.

  • Lining: Comfortable interior, often equipped with removable ear pads.
