The Salomon S/LAB Classic BOA boot represents a revolution in the world of cross-country ski racing. It's the first high-end classic boot to incorporate the BOA® tightening system to replace traditional laces, offering a millimetric fit and unrivalled energy transmission.

Here's why this model is currently the absolute benchmark for high-performance classic style:

1. The BOA® Fit System

This is the major change. Instead of pulling on laces, you turn a micrometric knob.

  • Precision: you can adjust the fit step by step, even when skiing or wearing gloves.

  • Wrap: The BOA system doesn't just pull on the top of the foot; it wraps the whole foot evenly, eliminating pressure points.

  • Heel hold: The heel hold is designed to anchor the heel perfectly to the bottom of the boot, preventing slippage when pushing off.

2. Carbon construction and flexibility

  • Carbon Classic chassis: The bottom of the shoe uses a carbon chassis that offers exceptional torsional rigidity (the foot doesn't "twist" sideways).

Fitting advice

The S/LAB Classic BOA has a very snug "Racing" fit. If you have a very wide foot, it's advisable to try it with your usual running socks, as it leaves little empty space to ensure direct transmission of movement.
